The majority of the handles are made of the wood type Hickory which is strong and flexible. Some individual models are from copper beech. The shafts are impregnated with warm linseed oil and beeswax, which increases the quality of the shafts. Both splitting axes and the Outdoor Axe feature a metal guard to protect the handle. BJU author...no thanks
Format: Paperback
The author is a teacher and on staff at Bob Jones University. That alone is enough for me to avoid this book knowing what BJU stands for, allows and teaches. Sanctification is a result of seeking Christ and emulating Him, not following what they deem to be godly rules and conduct. You change from the inside out, not outside in. BJU is known to be very legalistic, unfairly critical, beyond reasonably strict in appearances and is more concerned with outside appearances than inward growth.
